The post position draw for Saturday’s Preakness Stakes held neither the drama nor consequences of the draw preceding the Kentucky Derby.

Yet just as in the Derby, Street Sense and Hard Spun will break side-by-side, yet will be reversed this time around with Hard Spun (5/2) breaking from post 7, with Street Sense, installed as the 7/5 favorite, breaking one stall further out.

Curlin drew post 4 and is the 7/2 third-choice as the top three Derby finishers are the top three choices in the Preakness morning-line.

Perhaps the only intrigue centered around which post Flying First Class would draw, and in pulling post 6, places him inside of the similarly speedy Hard Spun. Xchanger will break from post 2, and also figures to be in close attendance to the early pace.

Of those running in Baltimore after passing the Derby, King of the Roxy and C P West seem the most dangerous.
