StablePicks: Saturday, June 23
Saturday’s featured New York at Belmont Park drew a talented cast of eight.
Makderah is clearly the one to fear, and looked sensational winning an allowance condition last out for McLaughlin. Have no trouble envisioning this daughter of Danehill being a force in graded stakes for the remainder of the year.
Masseuse has won half of her eight career tries on turf — including 3 of 4 over the Belmont weeds — and should be sitting on a big effort in her third start of the season.
Vacare is the lone Grade 1 winner, although Barancella has been close to earning a couple, and either of these two could complete the exotics.
StablePicks: 1st — Makderah
………………..2nd — Masseuse
………………..3rd — Vacare
Monmouth Park has a pair of stakes on Saturday. Lawyer Ron leads the charge in the Salvatore Mile, although Indy Wind may be a late threat.
In the Sneakbox, a 5 1/2 furlong turf spring in race 8, Vicarage and In Summation should be major players.
