A small field with quite a bit of talent comprises Friday’s 3rd race at Belmont Park.

Morning-line favorite Wild Desert is easily the class of the field having made his last five starts versus graded stakes company — four of these being Grade 1s.

Yet in making his first start since November, perhaps the time is right to take a shot against, especially considering Wild Desert hasn’t won in more than two years.

Tasteyville has been stuck at this condition since late spring having run into the likes of Diamond Stripes, Papi Chullo and High Finance in his last three. This Pat Kelly trainee is another that seems to prefer garnering a minor award, but could prove the one if able to catch Wild Desert on less than his best.
