RACE 1
WIN – Up and over to begin the final week. DARK EQUATION seems the class of this group, and exits a second-place finish in the Flatterer at Philly Park. Has beaten several of these in recent starts.
PLACE – Voss has been relatively quiet, although he won last weeks jump race with Planets Aligned. DYNAWAY was a decent third here 10 days ago, while GRYFFINDOR will try to take these flag to wire.
SHOW – SPARKLED heads the Sheppard entry after checking in behind the top pick most recently. Gets 12 pounds from that rival this time. Mate LEAD US NOT will need to improve greatly.

RACE 2
WIN – Zito won with six debut runners at the 2006 meet, and has scored with War Pass and Paint this year. FIERCE WIND is a son of Dixie Union who has really picked up the pace lately and gets Leparoux.
PLACE – Bought for $250K earlier this spring, J BE K begins his career for Zayat Stables, whose silks have been photographed heavily this meet. Gomez wins at a 30 percent clip with Baffert runners.
SHOW – TOOLS FOR THE JOB has the benefit of race experience and the rail for his second career try. No match late behind Hopeful-bound Georgetown earlier this meet.

RACE 3
WIN — Start of early Pick 4 finds SMART BUNNY, who parlayed a pair of sprints at Churchill into a victory when attempting two turns here for the first time on Aug. 5 despite being floated very wide into the first turn. Continued improvement would make her tough to beat.
PLACE — DAYTIME PROMISE will be rallying late, although have concerns over her ability to get this distance. Sill seeking first win of this year.
SHOW — RINELLA STORM runs first off the claim for DiPrima, who giving a leg up to Arroyo, has won 6 of the last 10 times together. Tough number to ignore on a filly that will be double-digit odds.

RACE 4
WIN — Pletcher has been far from vintage at this meet, but NULLIFY may surprise in his debut here. Dogwood runner shows four consecutive five-furlong works prior to this, including a good gate move most recently.
PLACE — ADRIANO came up just short to Pletcher-trained Il Girasole in early August, and with Lasix added to the equation today, would be no shock for Motion and Dominguez, who combined to win the finale on Monday.
SHOW — HONOUR ABOVE SELF is a son of With Approval that goes first-out for Allen Jerkens. Curious that Prado takes the call as he hasn’t ridden for The Chief in the last two years. If run on Main Track: 1. Celestial Comet; 2. Adriano; 3. Nullify.

RACE 5
WIN — Weak group in this restricted spot, but expect MARY’S PRAYER to show plenty of early zip on the significant class plunge. Wish Kenneally was having a better meet, but just think this girl can shake loose early.
PLACE — MULLIGATAWNY can rebound on the drop in class. Won off impressively the only other time she has been entered for a tag. Excuse her effort two back as she lost all position halfway up the backside when checked sharply.
SHOW — WISHING WISHES won her career debut last fall, but has made just a single start since. Makes her third lifetime trip to the post for as many trainers, and also totes her third different jock.

RACE 6
WIN — GOING DAY closed too late to get to Tejida two starts back, although she has since returned to win at the Spa in wire-to-wire fashion over a good group. Gaining in the final stages of her most recent to get second.
PLACE — PROM PARTY sheds the blinkers while stretching out for Pletcher. Raced evenly behind front-running Ruban Bleu four weeks ago, but should appreciate the added ground.
SHOW — KIN TO THE WIND finished in close attendance to Going Day most recently, and with a hedge draw, should be a big factor. If run on Main Track: 1. Lost Etiquette; 2. Mott entry; 3. Prom Party.

RACE 7
WIN — Solid group signed up here, and despite quite a bit of early speed, DISCO’S SON may be quickest early and able to run them off their feet. Has a history of running awfully well second off the break, as is the case here. Prado suddenly hot after a 4-win day to close last week.
PLACE — BOUND NOTEBOOK is a must-use having finished in the exacta in six of eight starts this season, and able to boast of runner-up finishes behind Grade 1 winner Flashy Bull and Forego-starters Praying for Cash and Chatain.
SHOW — DASHBOARD DRUMMER has already placed in a pair of graded stakes this season, but disappointed as the chalk most recently.

RACE 8
WIN — Compact field of six for the Perfect Sting. MO CUISHLE took the Grade 3 Monmouth BC Oaks when racing for Team Pletcher, but now makes her second start on turf and second start for Tagg. Wasn’t beaten all that much in the De La Rose despite entering the lane wide, and will relish the extra furlong.
PLACE — AMANSARA got a perfect trip, but was outrun by Fantastic Shirl (benefiting from a flawless ride) in the shadow of the wire. Eligible to improve second off the December break.
SHOW — HOPES AND DREAMS certainly figures to earn a share as she consistently runs figures that would compete here. Potential lack of pace working against her. If run on Main Track: 1. Mo Cuishle; 2. Hopes and Dreams; 3. Tap Gold.

RACE 9
WIN — DOWELL HOUSE didn’t show a whole lot when debuted by Pletcher early last summer, but has trained well of late at Winding Oaks Farm, and was only recently turned over to the care of Dutrow. Velazquez still chooses to ride. Hmmm.
PLACE — WHAT TIME IT IS finally faces maidens after contesting minor stakes in both starts at age two. Trombetta enjoying a solid meet.
SHOW — FASHION QUEEN has flashed some serious speed on multiple occasions in the morning in advance of her debut. MISS BARRISTER likewise begins her career and could run well at first-asking.
